I thought that when he said nature has no voice, it doesn't have one in politics. And nature sure is top in the news when it's hurricane season. People worried about their pools overflowing. Ways being blocked by flooding or trees. Boats damaged.

But tell the storm is coming when they can't breath (Thomas Dolby's post apocalyptic sound airwaves, take a listen) then there will be a give a sh.....

Thank you Shalagh - that is a good point that nature doesn't have a voice in politics. Some companies are introducing a place for nature at the boardroom table, but really we need to be considering the consequences of all political decisions. It's true that it becomes top of the news when a disaster strikes - but then often a link isn't made to way this is happening more often and with greater intensity.

I'm not familiar with Thomas Dolby's work - do you have a link you can recommend? Sounds fascinating!

I rediscovered the song Airwaves during covid and the lyrics are chilling. Read them. I’ve always been a fan of Dolby’s. Then, in the past decade, he became the Dean of Music for Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore bringing technical stardom and experience to Peabody Music Conservatory. Seems he came from a scholarly family in which he was the only one without a degree and so finally jokingly, he’s legitimized. https://binged.it/4fHqnWu
